The 7 Day African Photo Safari in Etosha National Park is designed for photographers and wildlife enthusiasts who want time, space and expert guidance in one of Africa’s most distinctive safari landscapes. With a maximum of six guests, every traveller is guaranteed a window seat in the safari vehicle.
Your journey begins in Windhoek and continues north to Etosha National Park. Four full safari days create excellent opportunities to study animal behaviour, respond to changing light and improve your wildlife images. The pale salt pan, open plains and busy waterholes provide clean backgrounds and dramatic compositions.
The tour welcomes enthusiastic beginners as well as experienced photographers. Your guide understands the patience required for memorable images and will help position the vehicle carefully whenever conditions allow. The final night is spent at a private reserve in central Namibia, adding another rewarding wildlife setting before the return to Windhoek.

Accommodation is arranged in or near the best available wildlife areas. In Etosha, stays may include Okaukuejo Resort, Halali Resort and Namutoni Resort. The final selection depends on availability and the seasonal game-viewing plan.
These well-positioned camps make it easier to start early, reach productive Etosha waterholes and use the softer morning and afternoon light. Some camps also have floodlit waterholes, offering fascinating wildlife observation after dark.
Night six is spent at a private reserve in central Namibia. Windhoek accommodation before or after the tour is not included, but we will gladly arrange it on request.
Meals and mineral water are included as shown in the schedule. Dinner is included on day one. Days two to five include breakfast, lunch and dinner, while day six includes breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is included on the final morning.
Lunch on the outward and return travel days is for your own account. Drinks other than the supplied mineral water, snacks and personal purchases are excluded.
Photography days may be adjusted around light and animal activity. As a result, meals can sometimes be earlier or later than usual. Please advise us of dietary requirements before booking so that the lodges can prepare where possible.
Etosha photography
Your main focus is patient, guided wildlife viewing in Etosha. Early departures increase the chance of soft light and active animals. Midday breaks allow time to rest, review images and prepare equipment. Afternoon drives continue into the warm evening light, subject to park gate times.
Waterholes can attract elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelope, lions and many other species. No sighting can be guaranteed, yet the waiting is part of the experience. Your guide will balance photographic priorities with respectful wildlife viewing and park rules.
Creative learning

Private reserve finale
On day six, continue to a private reserve for an afternoon game drive. Different habitats and private-reserve access create fresh subjects before a final early activity on day seven.
