This privacy policy explains what information Travel 2 Namibia (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit travel2namibia.com and its language versions, why we collect it, and what choices you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.
Who we are
Travel 2 Namibia is a tour operator and travel agency based in Swakopmund, Namibia. If you have any question about this policy or your information, contact us at or through our contact page.
Information you give us
We only receive personal information when you choose to send it to us, for example when you:
- send an enquiry or booking request for accommodation, a tour or an activity;
- use our contact form or email us;
- sign up for our newsletter.
This can include your name, email address, phone number, nationality, travel dates, the number and ages of travellers, and any details you add to your message. We use it only to answer your enquiry, plan and book your trip, and, if you signed up, to send you our newsletter. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time with the link in every email.
To make a booking we may need to share the relevant details with the lodges, camps, guides and transport providers that are part of your trip. We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.
Website statistics (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics to see general information about how our website is used, such as which pages are visited, how long visitors stay, and which country or device they use. This helps us improve the website. Google Analytics uses cookies and processes this information on Google’s servers. We do not use it to identify you personally. You can find out more in Google’s privacy policy, and you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.
Content from other websites
Some parts of our pages are loaded from other services: fonts from Google Fonts, and the reviews and photos in our TripAdvisor review widget from TripAdvisor. When your browser loads this content, these services receive technical information such as your IP address and browser type. Links to Facebook, Instagram, TripAdvisor and our partner websites take you to those websites, which have their own privacy policies.
Cookies
Apart from the Google Analytics cookies described above, our website only uses cookies that are needed for it to work. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings; the website will still work.
How long we keep your information
We keep enquiry and booking details only as long as we need them to handle your enquiry or trip, and for as long as the law requires us to keep booking and accounting records. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe.
How we protect your information
Our website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and access to the information you send us is limited to the people who handle your enquiry.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can withdraw your consent to receiving our newsletter. If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to object to or restrict how we use your information, to receive a copy of it, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Email and we will respond as soon as possible.
