1912 Frederich Haschke purchased a 15,000-hectare farm called Mickberg for £2,500. He immediately began constructing a house for his future wife using building materials imported from Germany to Lüderitz Bay. The materials were then transported by rail to Klein-Karas station. However, when the First World War erupted, troops from the Union of South Africa invaded this German colony. As a result, in April 1915, the couple fled to the north of the colony with some of their possessions and livestock, leaving behind the White House and all of its furniture.
The accommodation options include the main White House, self-catering chalets, and camping. These options are perfect for those seeking a peaceful escape, couples, families, friends, and even larger groups. The comfortable and charmingly rustic surroundings will ensure that you enjoy your stay on our farm. You can book a camping spot and experience the blissful tranquility of sleeping under the Namibian stars! All accommodation options are easily accessible by car, so there is no need for a 4×4 vehicle.
The Main House – The White House has a shared dining room, a fully equipped kitchen, a living room, and a barbecue area. The kitchen has a well-stocked fridge with cold beer, wine, soft drinks, and water. Additionally, you can find tea, coffee, sugar, and milk in the kitchen. Our main building has modern amenities, and each room has a private shower and toilet facilities.
Willchalets – Each chalet has a kitchenette, private barbeque area, en-suite bathroom with shower, toilet, washbasin, and a well-stocked fridge with cold beer, wine, soft drinks, and water. Tea, coffee, sugar, and milk are also provided.
Each campsite has an electrical outlet, water faucet, light, and a communal ablution block with showers, toilets, and basins.

Children under the age of six can stay for free.
Children between the ages of six and twelve are eligible for a 50% discount on the price.
Children aged 12 and above are required to pay the total cost.
