Canyon Roadhouse near Fish River Canyon
Canyon Roadhouse combines Fish River Canyon accommodation and camping with a playful collection of vintage vehicles and transport memorabilia. It stands on the C37 about 20 kilometres east of the canyon and provides a practical stop for self-drive travellers in southern Namibia.
Guests can choose from 24 rooms or 12 campsites. The property also has a restaurant, bar, swimming pool, fuel station, tyre-repair assistance and an ATM. These services are useful in a region where towns and facilities are widely spaced.

The informal atmosphere suits travellers who want a comfortable base, a campsite or a convenient meal on the route to the canyon.

The 24 rooms include 19 twins, three triples, one four-bed family room and one double room. Three pairs of twin rooms interlead. Rooms have an en-suite shower, air conditioning and heating, a safe, veranda, hairdryer, tea-and-coffee facilities, toiletries and a winter hot-water bottle.
Fish River Canyon camping facilities
Twelve campsites share hot-and-cold-water ablutions. Each site provides power, shade, lights and a barbecue area, with space for up to six people. Firewood is available at additional cost. Pets are not permitted, and bedding or camping equipment is not supplied.
Canyon Roadhouse facilities and dining
The central area includes a restaurant, bar, cold-water pool, curio shop and shaded seating among the motoring displays. Parking, mobile coverage, laundry service and Wi-Fi are available, although connectivity can be limited.
Meals at Canyon Roadhouse accommodation
Breakfast is generally served from 07:00 to 09:00. The restaurant usually offers meals from late morning until approximately 20:30, with dinner service beginning in the early evening. Room bookings commonly include breakfast; campsite bookings usually exclude meals.

Activities around Canyon Roadhouse
Marked trails and self-drive routes provide independent ways to explore the surrounding landscape. Guests can also reserve guided canyon drives, sunset outings and walks operated from nearby sister lodges, subject to transfer arrangements and availability.

The canyon viewpoints are the main attraction, while longer hiking routes are seasonal and tightly controlled. Carry drinking water, protect yourself from the sun and avoid underestimating driving distances in southern Namibia.
