Canyon Lodge near Fish River Canyon
Canyon Lodge offers Fish River Canyon accommodation about 20 kilometres east of the canyon on Namibia’s C37. Stone-and-thatch chalets sit among rounded granite boulders, creating a quiet base for exploring southern Namibia. The lodge suits couples, families and self-drive travellers continuing between Keetmanshoop, Lüderitz and the Orange River.
There are 30 chalets, including 28 twin rooms and two family rooms with four beds. Shared facilities include a restaurant, bar, swimming pool, curio shop and parking. Guided outings focus on the canyon landscape and the private reserve surrounding the lodge.
A practical southern Namibia lodge
The setting feels remote, yet the lodge is accessible by road. Travellers can combine a comfortable overnight stay with a canyon visit, short walks or a longer guided activity.
Canyon Lodge chalets and family accommodation
The chalets are positioned between granite formations and have private verandas. Twin rooms are suited to one or two guests, while the two family chalets provide four beds. Room allocation remains subject to availability and the confirmed booking category.

The main lodge has a restaurant, bar, cold-water swimming pool and curio shop. Secure parking, mobile connectivity and laundry service are available, while complimentary Wi-Fi is generally limited to the reception area and a daily allowance.
Dining at Canyon Lodge accommodation
Room stays usually include breakfast. Breakfast is generally served from 06:30 to 09:00, lunch from 12:00 to 15:00 and dinner from 19:00 to 21:00. Meal formats and times can change, so early departures and dietary needs should be discussed in advance.
Lunch, dinner, drinks, laundry and additional connectivity are not included unless they appear on the booking confirmation.
Fish River Canyon activities from Canyon Lodge
Guided activities introduce guests to the geology, plants and open landscapes around the lodge. Options can include a canyon drive, sunrise walk, approximately six-kilometre morning hike, sundowner outing and night walk. A shorter lodge-to-village trail may be explored independently.
