Wolwedans is more than a mere collection of camps situated in the NamibRand Nature Reserve – it is a collection of dreams. This land of blue skies and endless plains offers beauty to feed your soul, tranquility to clear the mind, and space for your imagination to soar. Although you may feel overwhelmed at first, you will soon settle into a landscape and immersive experience that is simply out of this world.

In 1995, Wolwedans was first established with four igloo tents by the late Albi Brückner and his son Stephan. They never imagined where the journey would lead them. Today, under the management of Stephan, Wolwedans comprises of five tourism properties, an active Foundation, and the Desert Academy. It is all carried forward by a bracing, forward-looking, holistic vision, at times considered radical, themed “The AridEden Project.”

The NamibRand is a 220,000-hectare private reserve and is considered one of the most picturesque destinations on the continent.

Dune Camp can accommodate a maximum of 16 guests in eight rooms. There are six tented rooms and one two-bed tented family suite. The tented rooms are built on wooden platforms, raised off the ground, and are spacious and comfortable. Each room has twin or King-size beds, as well as full indoor and outdoor bathrooms (no bathtubs).

Private decks outside the tented rooms are perfect for lounging, and each deck comes with a small water-filled silo called the “Wolwedans Chiller” to cool off in during hot summer months. The tented family suite is located a short walk away (just over the dunes) from the main camp, and it's ideal for families. It has two en-suite rooms and a children’s sala room with two single beds sharing the bathroom with adults.

The family suite has a lounge, spacious deck, and outdoor bathrooms, and two small water-filled silos, also known as ‘Wolwedans Chillers,’ perfect for cooling off during the hot summer months. Wolwedans offers unique experiences, beautiful landscapes, and friendly people. While where you sleep is important, it's nothing compared to what you'll experience with us on the Namibrand reserve.

Activities included in your stay at Wolwedans are morning and evening scenic drives, Wolwedans Desert Sundowners, Heart and Home village tour, Wolwedans Water walk, “Antares” Naked eye star safari, full-day scenic safari, Bushman walk, and E-biking. If you’re interested in hot air ballooning or horse-riding, these activities are available at an additional cost and must be booked in advance.

Plains Camp is a unique accommodation option that offers breathtaking views. The owner, Stephan Bruckner, designed the beautiful structure using timber and canvas, which blends perfectly with the surrounding desert plains. The indoor and outdoor spaces flow seamlessly, and the canvas walls can be opened up completely to allow the desert in or vice versa to make you feel more contained during chilly winter nights.

The Villa makes full use of the endless space, with two bedrooms on each side of the main areas and pool interlinked by decking and seating areas, providing ample space to relax and contemplate. Located in a secluded part of the reserve, the choice is yours as to how much or how little you want to do. Plains Camp is near the Wolwedans Village, where you can participate in The Arid Eden projects and learn more about how Wolwedans works.

Activities included are morning and evening scenic drives, Wolwedans Desert Sundowners, Heart and Home village tour, Wolwedans Water walk, “Antares” Naked eye star safari, Full-day scenic safari, E-biking, and Bushman walk. However, you need to book Hot air ballooning and Horse-riding in advance, and they cost extra.

The Mountain Suite is a luxurious accommodation that includes one en-suite bedroom for up to two adults, as well as a private lounge, dining area, and fire-pit. It also features an outside bathroom, a sleep-out deck, and a plunge pool. The main veranda has a ‘star-gazing' bed, which is perfect for a summer sleep-out under the stars.
The suite is designed in the traditional Wolwedans style, exuding plain elegance and natural, comfortable charm. You can choose to do as much or as little as you like, as the Mountain View Suite comes with its own private guide and vehicle, allowing you to set your own itinerary.
Activities included are morning and evening scenic drives, Wolwedans Desert Sundowners, Heart and Home village tour, Wolwedans Water walk, “Antares” Naked eye star safari, full-day scenic safari, e-biking, and Bushman walk. Hot air ballooning and horse-riding are available for an additional cost and must be booked in advance.
Boulders Camp is situated at the base of a rocky outcrop, with towering mountains in the background. It offers a breathtaking view of a landscape of gravel plains with submerged mountains popping up here and there. The camp can accommodate a maximum of 10 guests in five spacious tented rooms.

The main area includes a dining and lounge tent, a breakfast deck, a library, a pool, and an open fireplace. Sundowners can be enjoyed from the top of a mountainous rock plateau nearby, providing spectacular views of the surroundings. Each suite is well-positioned with spacious decks and large rooms that open up on three sides to let in the afternoon breeze. Each suite also has a separate spacious bathroom and sala for afternoon siestas, and all spaces are oriented to take in the endless views. Suites 2 & 3, and 4 & 5 share a plunge pool, while Suite 1 has its own private plunge pool.

Activities included in your stay at Boulders Camp include morning and evening scenic drives, desert sundowners, “Antares” naked-eye star safari, full-day scenic safari, and e-biking. Starting from 2024, Bushman walks will also be available.

Additionally, hot air ballooning is available at an extra cost, but it must be booked and organized in advance. Please note that Heart and Home Village tour and horse-riding are also possible from Boulders Camp, but due to its remote location, they need to be arranged well in advance.

Desert Lodge has 10 tented rooms that offer a beautiful view of the desert. These rooms have been designed in a way to maximize the view from all parts of the room. Each room comes with a private verandah that connects to the vast expanse of sand outside. It is recommended to sleep with the canvas blinds open to enjoy the pleasant evening breeze and the breathtaking view of the star-studded sky.

The main complex is built across a series of decks that sit atop the sand. It includes two lounges, several sundowner decks, a tea deck, a library, a wine cellar, and two dining rooms. The old pool has been transformed into a productive vegetable garden that provides organic ingredients for the kitchen.

A new swimming pool will be built at the front of the lodge with an incredible view. Wolwedans is an experience, where people can immerse themselves in the endless landscapes that can shift one's perspective forever. Although where you stay is important, it is nothing compared to what you'll experience with us on the NamibRand reserve.

Activities that are included are morning and evening scenic drives, Wolwedans Desert Sundowners, the Heart and Home village tour, the Wolwedans Water walk, the “Antares” Naked eye star safari, full-day scenic safari, Bushman walk, and E-biking. Additional activities such as hot air ballooning and horse-riding, are available at an additional cost and require advanced booking.

Damaraland and Kaokoveld Experience Wow what an experience! I have done 8 trips to Namibia before to different areas and needed something unique for our next trip. T2N was the ultimate solution. Anschen and Anine and their energie, their knowledge of the off-beaten track gems was just what we needed. Their response and precision was to the T. The complete travel arrangements to Damaraland and Kaokoveld made by T2N went so smoothe without any issues. Accommodation was spot-on and the advice and route info they supplied just did the trick. Great memory and experience thanks to theT2N teams efforts and dedicated work. Will definitely make all my travel arrangements through them again and highly recommend T2N to anyone super and honest travel service. Salute to T2N - job well done
